hello folks's's! i'm old school. so it's no surprise i use old gear. (Nikon D2x and D3200) i finely got my hands on a Nikkor 300 F4 ED AF. and this was the test shot. think i'll keep it! ISO100. hand held. 1/800 SEC at F4. with the D2x.

Looking good. I too like shooting the older gear. I just recently scored a beautiful condition Nikon AF-I 300mm f/2.8 lens from KEH and took it out on my D700 this afternoon to photograph my dogs and test it out.

look's great! i'm thinking of getting a D3. almost went with the D700. from what i gather. it's the (same censor for both) cute pups!

Looks like the white dog's eyes change color in the second photo. Still a nice photo though!

Not quite sure I'm following you. There's only one photo of my white Husky and she has blue eyes. They normally look more of a very light blue (almost white), but due to the soft light they tend to look a bit darker blue in color.
