    Hey everyone I am new to the forum and to photography in general. I shoot with a old minolta maxxum 5. One day I went for a drive and seen something moving in grass, so I pulled over and this is what popped up, I have been told it is a beaver but it had a furry tail, so I am thinking ground hog. Let me know what you think. And feel free to critisize my shot. I did post this shot in the general photo gallery but have not got any responses yet.

    I would agree but it was the size of a raccoon, too big for a gopher I think.

    Ok I did google it. I think it is a ground hog. A prairie dogs fur is different. Here are the pics that helped me decide.

    Could be (cue music) chupacabra...

    eh, maybe not. I think you're right, looks like the photo of the ground hog most.
