Over-Processed Sunset (C&C)

I took this pictures months before I processed it. I didn't like the way it came out, and couldn't find a version I liked of it. Fast forward and I decided to have some fun with it, just to see what I could get.

I'll let you in on a secret, this picture is heavily processed.

How do you feel about over processing, and altering pictures. Do you think it can work? Do you like this picture? If I went back, I'd probably remove the heavy dark borders, but I'm at work right now sooo...

Over processing can work. The point is that it turns out the way you wanted it too before you started processing.

I like the picture, however I feel it needs to be straightened. It leans to the left.
