Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
can we have a Photo challenge on this site for beginner, i would love to do this.. maybe once a month just for braggen right's

Nice idea! :) We could do a sort of official/unofficial one right now! ... My ideas: Start a thread titled: Begginers Photo contest, judges. Then explain all about the contest, rules, whatever, and ask who wants to become judges... Then everyone has a whole week to decide which two/three, etc photos they enter... Make a thread titled "entries for the begginers photo contest" and everyone posts their image there. Then the judges pm each other to decide a first second and third place!

That would be great practice for newbies!! I would love to join that!

This isn't quite the same thing you are talking about but Fight Club and Boxer Turtle are two options for you. Yes, while there are more experienced photographers competing in these contests, they are for everyone to enjoy. I think it helps you to grow as a photographer when you compete against people you look up to.

I personally have just started Fight Club a few weeks ago but it is immensely fun and I think the quick style of the contest has helped with my photography.

I haven't tried Boxer Turtle yet.

I haven't actually joined either of those two yet, but I've been on here for a little while and seen a few rounds go through. Pretty cool couple of contests. Like GFreg said, competing against some of the older/more experienced photogs can actually help push your own photography to a more advanced level, faster, if you're a little competetive;)

There is always the 10 Interesting Things, challenge.
While not a contest, with a voted winner it does test your creative thinking skills.
So, the more you do it, the more you become a winner.

As many have said in that thread, the premise is easy, carrying it out effectively is difficult.
