Pleiades, a deep dive

Crap, that is quite the mount. 43lbs without a counter weight is insane.
My heaviest rig is 28.5lbs, and I wanted some room for expansion or to be able to handle piggybacking a camera and long lens on the scope. Also, the historic guideline is to not exceed 50% of the rated weight if imaging, as most commercial mounts often start to suffer some loss of consistency the closer to their maximum weight you get. I think manufacturers like to be rather optimistic with their stats.. I'm not sure that still holds true with the new strain wave gear mounts, though.
