I recently knocked my D70s off my desk (awful, but it caught on my shirt) and went out snapping the other day round Manchester, UK and realised that the part of the lense that joins the body on the left was creaking and moving slightly. I may have cracked the seal or plastic inside. It is still functioning well but for how long? I am gonna get it checked out, but wandered if anyone has any ideas where best to get it checked or has had a similar problem (what was wrong?). Cheers Newbie

Is it the lens or the camera that is 'creaking'? If it is the lens, you might try tightening the screws (not Too tight but fairly snug) If this thought makes you uncomfortable then by all means take it to someone.

Check at the top of this forum for the camera repair list to see if there is someone listed near you.
