Quantaray Anyone?

Anyone know about this 70-210mm 2.8.Quantaray label and seller
Says made by sigma for Quantaray Need this focal length and its 500 bux used.

Yes Quantaray lenses are made by Sigma and are as good quality as a Sigma lens.

Eh...

My dad has a Quantaray 70-300, and I use it quite a bit. Criticisms...

• Slow to focus
• Loud AF
• Poor optical performance
• Build quality is far from excellent

Really, the only thing going for it is that it's cheap. They are made by Sigma, yes, but the quality on Sigma lenses is much higher...I'd stay away from Quantaray if possible.

I work at Ritz and have compared a Sigma to a Quantaray and they have the identical lenses with both names on them you pretty much get what you pay for it is just a matter of how fast the lens is if you are looking at a 70-210 2.8 Quantaray or Sigma this will be a good quality lens and I can assure you you will find this lens with Quantaray or Sigma on the barre and it will be the identical lens but I have to say I have never heard of this lens from Quantaray.

I have a Quantaray lense and it works just fine.

Now my Quantaray bounce flash on the other hand is hot garbage.

You get what you pay for.
