It was too cool today.. a buddy told me about a flock of waxwings in some Mulberry Bushes, but it was poring rain out... of course, I went anyways!

the first 8 here are the best of 380.. D200 / 200-400VR, hand held, no flash, exif below each shot.

thanks for looking, all c/c welcome.

Ray - the pictures are beautiful. I love how the berries add colour.

wow, you really know how to shoot birds!

Oh yes, our Ray here is one of our absolute bird-photography experts.
In rainy weather not ONE photo would work out for me. NOT ONE!
Add to this the fact that whenever I go out all I ever manage to do is HEAR the birds ... but I never even see them, let alone get my lens to find them ... suddenly I hear wings and then: silence. Bird long gone! That's ME when I try to photograph birds. Not so Sir Raymond! ;)

great stuff ray... always a pleasure to view your latest images

Sweet shots Ray. These guys have been pretty reclusive for me and I have only seen a few. Good to see someone so dedicated they head out in poor weather.

Eric
