Remote flash firing with preflash

I've been experimenting with putting my SB-800 off camera and having it fire with the D50's on camera flash however I've noticed that the SB-800 fires with the preflash and not the exposure flash. Any Nikon-folk know a fix for that? I checked through the menus and didn't see anything.

I actually found the answer but in case anyone else is having this issue, in the menu look for A-EL/A-FL (I think that's what it's called) and look for FL. Hit Ok and when you compose hit the A-EL/A-FL button. It'll fire the preflash and save that info. You can then shoot the shot and it will only fire the exposure flash.

No, sorry. I gave up trying to get this setup to work reliably and went back to the good old extension cord. The "menu" system on the SB800 is not what I would call intuitive.

Camera flash on manual and opti-slaves for me. (pocket wizards someday )
