Salt Point - First Shots W/ D50 - C&C If You Got Em

Here are some shots that I took with my D50 that I recently purchased. Stepped up from a Canon A70. I took about 500 shots before my battery died. About 40 I got I am satisfied with. Here are a few:

Nice series. There are some interesting shapes. You captured the sunset colors well.

That makes a ton of sense. Which is probably why I didnt think of it.

Thanks for the compliments. Now I need to work on working in manual mode - and Ill be good to go.

Number 1 is a good shot. Number 2 has potential but you need to sort out your focal point (should be on the broken part IMO).
The sky shots are nice but the rest are quite mundane IMO (and it is only my opinion, loads will disagree). Composition could be a little better and you would benefit from a better choice of subject matter.
Once you get familiar with your DSLR your shots will become much better though.
