Cheap old flatbed scanner of mine finally died ( ).
Here's the problem. I've been looking pretty hard at the
Konica Minolta DiMage Scan Dual IV. BUT my wife ask the killing question to me " I'll still be able to scan documents right?"
Is there any flatbed out there than will scan a slide or Neg. as good as the Minolta (without of course breaking the bank)? Haven't been real impressed with what I've seen so far.

If I could hide the Minolta somewhere in my den where I knew she'd never find it I would just order it.

The worst of it is our old scanner was used just every once in awhile for scanning pages.

    Thanks for the help!

NO there isnt a flatbed scanner that can scan at the same quality level that a dedicated film scanner does. Very unlikely anyway.
Why dont you get a minolta dual scan + a cheap flatbed(you can get one used for like 20 bucks)
