Hi folks,
I'm new here but hope to spend much time here in the future. For now,I'm seeking, for the purposes of my research into voyeurism in photography,an infamous photograph dating from the 1991 and the 1st Gulf War. It depicts a shrivelled, carbonised Iraqi at the wheel of a burnt-out vehicle on the Kuwait-Basra highway, dubbed the "highway of death" by Colin Powell. It's a graphic image, sure, but it serves as an uncompromising reminder of the brutality of war and indiscriminate killing in particular. I don't consider it voyeuristic in its intent . Hence I wish to cite it as an example of gruesome images that have more than shock value. However,I'm finding it hard to locate a copy of this to use in thumbnail form in my workbook. So,I'm putting a call out to any of you out there who know where I might be able to find it or who can supply me with a copy of it. Thanks for helping!
Regards,
Neil
