Should I bring the tripod?

Did a lot of what your doing earlier this summer. Definately would have loved a tripod missed out on some great stuff because I left it. Also you might want to pick up one of these. It served me well wading rivers. AirVent Reduction DryBlocs

I have a Giottos tripod bag that does the same thing. Has two nice backpack straps attached, but it seems that Giottos no longer makes the bag.
