Was going through some images I took with it on the D7000 and this one just jumped out, not as an actual good photograph, but just pure lens technical ability. The backlighting really allowed the lens to pick up stupid amounts of detail. It takes a pretty ridiculous lens to make a non-cropped ISO 100 image on the D7000 get to the point where the only thing holding back sharpness is the pure lack of pixels. This is literally as sharp/detailed as an image could possibly be on a D7000 I think. And f/8 isn't even the thing's sweetspot. it's actually sharpest around f/4.

When I have time to get it fully nailed down focus calibration wise and get out and shoot on the D7100, I'll post some images with that.
