Mike, I looked long and hard at this camera, ever since it was announced, what? over a year ago?

I waited for a long time for a reasonable rangefinder type of digital camera with a large sensor.

I came close to getting the Ricoh GRD I and II, then I held off waiting for this camera. But it really has some problems- the slow f/4 lens and what is apparently a lot of noise at high ISO's. I came within a whisper of ordering one of these, once Sigma announced they had worked all the bugs out, but in the end, I changed my mind and went with a Lumix L1. It is not a true rangefinder, but it came with a wonderful Leica zoom and I have been very happy with it.

I hope Sigma has success with this camera because if they do, it will only lead to other types of cameras like this and better, being produced along the same lines.

I can't wait to hear from some folks who have actually used one of these.
