slide label printing

We have been trying to print slide labels on our HP 5510 All-in-one inkjet printer. We have tried everything and talked to HP and Avery labels, with HP accepting that this printer can't align the labels properly with the page. Does anyone have a suggestion for a low to mid range printer, inkjet, laser or otherwise, that consistantly gives them correct results when printing the 1.75 x 0.5 inch labels (Avery #08167/5167)
