Spotted this while driving around on Saturday.

It seems like it has a slight tint to me?

Comments welcome!

I like it. Make it 'tintless' B&W?

Nice shot. Just a hint of blue. Ed

Original had a slight blue tint.

Much prefer the monochrome. Excellent shot!

I'm with Sparky. B&W works really well.

The tint issue reminds me of a RAW image pinkish tint I got shooting in the snow several years back. With the JPEG version, captured at the same time, the histogram showed the red channel shifted much in line with other channels. In other words, no pink tint. The JPEG auto-white balance version did a really good job.

There are so many variables: camera manufacturers, in-camera processing and RAW-editing software, subtle light variations, etc, it can be hard to nail down the reason. But it's fixable. Sorry, just rambling a bit!

Really good shot. :)

Maria! You're back! Where did you go?! :1219:

oh... it got very busy here in the Wonderland...

It's nice you still remember me

and.... you made me feel loved today on TPF so here's a :icon_hug:for you ;)

Thanks! That makes sense, because I find that mine typically have a slight tinge to them that I usually end up fixing in post. I guess I just didn't play around enough on the first one.

I prefer the one with the blue tint... Shhhhh!
Thanks! My wife agrees with you!

How could I forget little Maria?!

Always fun to have you around :)

I love the original! ( I am on an uncalibrated ipad though ;-) )

What a perfect tree!

Thank you! This tree is in a farm field near my sister's house. I wanted to take a picture of it every time I drove by it, but the surroundings never agreed with me (or at least agreed with the vision that I had for it) until that picture.

I'm partial to the color version, because I like the color of the bark on the white background--IMO, it adds just a touch of warmth. BUT, I need to get rid of that blue tint first!
