Just did it yesterday. It was a super small wedding for my Uncle.

His wife died about a year ago and obviously he had been talking to some other lady. He didn't tell the family. The only people who knew were his daughter, my grandparents (who catered it) and my aunt and mom.

My grandmaw told me a couple of weeks before to make sure to get off so I could get shots at the church. He was elected into something, that doesn't really matter at this point.

Anyways, I'm waking up an my mom is like, "Here is the deal, Uncle Steve is getting married!" I shoot up out of bed.

It actually kind of made me mad because I would have brought my flash bracket for better shots at the reception. It was very small. We had the church service and the preacher was doing the benediction and he then said "While we are at it........Dearly Belov-ed..."

Everyone gasped, because they weren't expecting it.

Anyone else have the same experience in not knowing the details and not bringing ALL of your equipment?
