    Here are a few loon shots that I've gotten this summer.

    In the morning mist. I call this Looney Tunes.:D

    Oooo, I love these pics! Loons are a bird I don't often get to see, and when I do they're off in the distance. You got some good captures here. My fave is the first...it's an out-of-the-ordinary pose, and I like the hazy background.

    Feel free to post more! (Please?)

    Love them all. What equipment did you use? Yeah, I know it's the photographer, not just the equipment, but curious.

    Ha! It all the gear.
    I used a Canon 5DMKII with a Canon 300 F2.8is lens with a Canon 2X tc.
    CS3 for processing.

    Have you ever seen the loons flapping their wings, hitting the water and moving around on the top of the lake.

    Love the new ones you posted, too!!! Did you use a polarizing filter on your lens?
