Photo 4 is great. I would just increase the contrast a little, and perhaps the saturation. All photos look great. Everything look dry and warm -- I would love to be there right now!

Hands down I like number 1! It just draws me in so I think it should be that one.

#1 would be my first choice due to the saturated sky. Yes it's been done a million times but this is a print for your parents who are not photographers. They would love it.

#5 is also a great choice, but I had to stare at it a tad longer to "get" the composition, if that makes any sense. Just not enough color IMO.

#6 is also a very nice shot and while also done a lot, doesn't mean you shouldn't also get it printed off and framed.

John, I'd also like to say that I looked at your other pics in the "best of 2009" thread and maybe you have your mind up, but I'd strongly consider #1 as well, with some of the top cropped off.
