This was taken in almost complete darkness. 12:20 am fom my apartment balcony. ISO 400, f/1.4, SB-24 with a guide number of 118 at full power, 85mm zoom. Sure, the photo is absolutely horrible. (Now that I think about it, I'm concerned about my lens. It might be defective. Or my filter ...) But the results really surprised me. Check out how far that farthest building is. That's way beyond a hundred feet.
