Hi,

A friend has asked me to take some photos of a transparent tub with candy in it. I did a bit of photography in college but I am still very much a beginner, just know the basics. I am looking for suggestions on how to take these photos so the transparent plastic doesn't look too 'dirty'.

Any suggestions with regards to:
- Background colour
- lighting

All I have is a camera and a tripod and want to do the best I can with what I've got.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

err... idk what else you could do with this..

apart maybe from changing the container to something more transparent :)
...

meh.. send me some .. they look good

always pick a darker background than your subject so that it stands out more. to learn more on lighting go the Commercial/Product photography forum. in this case a lower angle would have shown the candy better. the labels are in the way. bad luck in this case is the plastic box which is not clear plastic.

Thanks for your speedy replies.

The image above is not one that I have taken, just an idea of what the tub looks like. I can't change anything about it either.

silly me thinking that the photo you posted was yours. :)
fyi, when you want to show us a picture that's not yours the rules state that all you can do is post a link, not the actual picture.
