Hello. As above does anyone use a tripod dolly to record indoor events such as communion or baptism parties? What are your thoughts on those is it worth buying or will it be too shaky?
Not my area of expertise, but just knowing the general lack of space at such events, I can't see it being practical. A steadi-cam rig would make a lot more sense.
Dolly's are great, I have floor dollys and track dollys both.
The amount of shake you get will be from the tripod more than the dolly.
They are very handy for videography shoots.
Don't waste your time. They are designed for controlled environments. They are not practical for event shooting. A steady cam would be far more practical.
