Update On Injured Deer

Last month (May 8th) I posted an image of one of our resident deer that had an unfortunate accident of some sort. She was scuffed up really bad and was limping on her rear left foot. Today I saw her close by and finally was able to get a closeup image of her foot. The first photo was last month's image. The second photo shows her full body which reveals the major scuff on her top right shoulder has new hair growing in. The third photo shows her foot. It appears the upper portion of the foot was broken. She still favors it somewhat but gets around fairly well.

It's amazing what they can go through and recover from. Very resilient animals.

Recently took some photos of a deer that obviously had a broken leg. Looked to be healed, but had no clue until I viewed the photos. You certainly couldn't tell by how it was getting around.
