What camera should I get?

Yes that's a good point and it sure does. We've had pretty good luck though. I've been using my 3100 for the last two years with no problems and I'm on the beach all day from 10-3 doing daytime photos which causes me and the camera to get very sandy. Then I do all my appointments from 5pm-7:30pm. I'm suprised how good our cameras hold up though from being in the heat all day and night and getting super sandy. The only reasons ours have stopped working is from getting dropped on a hard surface, in water, or just wear and tear. It definitely helps using a filter to keep the lens in good condition. We have about 20 photographers out herr who all do the same job and the 3100s and 3200s hold up great. Extremely durable. I hope my d700 will be the same way I just plan on only using it for my evening appointments and for personal use.
