I'm going here.

Wildlife Sanctuary of NW Florida

I am assuming the animals will be close up because where it is located is in a crowded downtown area and I've never heard or seen it before...

I have the 35mm, 18-55 kit, and the 50-200

I know it is kind of hard to say, but if you HAD to choose one, which would you mount?

I too would take all three since they cover all different focal lengths. You just dont know till you have been to a place before what you might need.

because I've got 3 kids to drag around too. lol I'm hoping not to have to bring the camera bag, the diaper bag, the purse... you get the picture.

Put one lens on the camera, one in your purse, and the other in the diaper bag.

;)

^^^^^^ What he said!

Edit: if the 55-200 is mounted the other 2 are pretty small to stuff in bags.

HA! That is so me!!!!!!!

I feel your pain hon lol what I do is take my drivers license out with my debit card and a spare diaper put this all in your camera bag lol The diaper can cushion your camera or you can roll it up and stack it beside your lens. Take one bag but be inventive. you dont need to take three or four bags. Put some wipes in a ziploc bag in a seperate compartment and your gtg. I have to go walk dogs today so will be taking the kids and the camera bag only lol. Good luck and cant wait to see your shots with the new 35mm. its on my debatable list atm.

Hard to say which to bring as you have no idea where the animals will be. Photo ops in places like this can happen anywhere in the park, not always right in front of you.

Bringing one lens would mean you will miss out on other shots. Short lenses mean you are taking shots of close animals, possibly interacting with your kids. Longer lenses mean you are taking shots of animals further out, in a more "natural" habitat.

So which do you wish to focus on for your trip? Decide WHAT you want to do, then decide on the lenses.

But yeah, bring all 3.

I brought all 3, but only used my 55-200 because most of the animals were in cages... I wasnt expecting them to be behind so many fences....

oh well.

I got some good shots.

And I debated on the 35mm for about a month, finally I just said WTH and went and got it. I love it so far!

I took this pic with it...
