I will have to check out the 85mm 1.4D to see how it compares to the 1.8G for the extra cost. If it's worth it then I will save that extra cash and get it, after all it's not that far in price from the 1.8G unlike the 1.4G.

I ended up paying $390 for this, local; the 1.4D is closer to $800-900.

I'd buy a new body before getting a lens in that price range.
