    Any tips on photos of black objects? Never quite right to me.

    I do some product photography and always find trouble with black objects. If I don't have a good amount of lighting on the subject, it will be dark and I have to raise exposure and various other brightness settings. When I do this, it tends to draw out ugly features like splotchy color patches...

    Ignorance is bliss I guess

    Spider Web Got me a wild hair to do photography. I do everything to the max so I picked up some junk lots off Ebay. Couple boxes of cameras, flashes, and such that folks were unloading. Multiple old cameras and lens mostly that nobody cares that much about. Heck, even all the darkroom gear...

    Black or White Studio?

    Currently my studio is white but I have been thinking about switching to all black to knock down on reflective light for better control, any thoughts on this? Is your studio black or white? Thanks, Mike
