Strange and interesting. Made me think of The Ancient Mariner ("he stoppeth one of three"). I'd get rid of the "12" either by cropping or cloning - it doesn't add anything so it's just a distraction.

The 12 symbolizes "1" complete figure, and "2" half-people. Kind of riffing on 1/2, or one-half.

I think this is a SIMPLY OUTSTANDING shot!!!!

When it comes to city photography of just moving crowds I think black and white always does the trick. The cut out style also appeals to me very much.
