Once again.....was very happy to see your name and excited to look at your photos.....and again, you didn't dissapoint! Love your style so much. Love the pics! =D

That, is an awesome comment! You made my night. Thanks a million. :)

I don't usually tell stories about my photos, but here's a little one about #7:
I was out last weekend with a couple of other photographers. I ended up with a lady friend at a little restaurant in Chinatown here in Toronto. I saw this group at the next table and they were having lots of fun and making lots of noise. I took a few photos of them without them noticing. Then an attractive Asian girl showed up -- she's the one on the left. I talked with my friend a while longer and decided to get one more photo. When I went to photograph the group again, the Asian girl almost jumped out of her: He's trying to take your photo! she exclaimed, in a tone no different than if I was sneaking a wallet out of one of their coat pockets. Now here's the irony: the photo I was about to get lacked any sort of energy and I probably wouldn't have bothered editing it let alone posting it. But because of her entirely inappropriate reaction, the guy with the Mohawk decided to turn around just as I snapped the shot. Personally, and of course your mileage as always may vary, I think the look on her face and her little accusing finger pointing at me, along with everyone else trying to figure out what's going on, really makes this shot. No one at the table even cared that I'd just taken there photo, just her. One guy asked what is was for and I said, Just practising shooting in this light. He shrugged, and that was the end of it. It's the first time I've had a really negative reaction to me taking someone's photo. Oh well, life goes on, right? The most amazing part of the story is my friend and I had like five different dishes and the bill for both of us was a mere $10.73. How about that! :)

aaaahahahahahahahaha! That's awesome! That one is totally one of my fav's too!

I couldn't agree with you more on that one! LOVE it! =D

Thanks again! I'm not really sure what that Asian woman was trying to prove by freaking out at me, but in the end she proved that Karma's a *****. :)

That's a Viper, not a Corvette.

If it weren't for the tree growing out of the hood, I would totally love that picture. Granted, beggars can't be choosers, but that's the only thing I would be picky about.

... But because of her entirely inappropriate reaction, ...

not sure is "entirely inappropriate". If she does not like to be shot, you cannot shoot her, in most national laws. And furthermore you could not post the picture here (which by the way is completely out of focus).
The one I prefer is the last, the is a good rendition of a pub.

Yeah, you're right. Very similar. I love them both, although I'm not really into sports cars (as you can tell).

The tree was actually behind the car. :)

Indeed there is nothing inappropriate about not wanting your photo taken. I don't like mine taken either. Her level of reaction is what was entirely inappropriate. Like I said, I wasn't stealing her wallet. As for your opinion on the laws of photography in public places, I won't burst your bubble. As for you telling me I can't post that photo here, I think the fact I did would contradict your opinion on that too. The single point where you are indeed correct is the focus. Bravo. ;)

Your reply is a stellar example of why I never tell stories about my photos. Nothing good ever comes from it. Thanks for the reminder.

I'm really digging #5. If you made the very top windows blue like the rest, and printed this on a LARGE canvas gallery wrap - I could so see it hanging over a couch in a modern downtown loft or something.

You might have surely obtained model releases for your friends, of course. It was not part of the story. As for your opinion on laws of photopgraphy, I won't burst your bubble ;) .

Not really necessary in this instance.

Um, before you can "burst my bubble" re my opinion on the laws surrounding photography, don't you think it would help if you first knew what my opinion was? You offered your opinion, I did not. In fairness to you, however, I see you're from Italy and maybe your laws differ from North America.

I know the tree was not actually growing out of the car you goof.

I usually say that when something distracting is behind the car and appears to be growing out of it (trees, light poles, etc.). It's a car photography no-no to have stuff like that. Since the car obviously wasn't yours, there may not have been anything you could do about it in that instance, it's just something to be mindful of! :)

LOL... I know you knew that... I was just being... well, it seems you already know... :)

I also knew what you were saying. Very good point. If I were setting up the shot I never would have chosen that spot. I was just having fun with you. ;)

You can have as much fun with me as you want, just as long as we cuddle afterwards. :sexywink:
