Photos NOT OK to edit
From a recent personal project I have been working on. I'll be continuing this project over the summer with many other male models as well. Not sure what the end-goal is; maybe a coffee table book, or a calendar, or maybe a gallery showing. Either way, I have been loving working on this project. Essentially, I'm working on a series where I romanticize various good looking men in wildflowers and other "soft" scenes that generally contradict the usual masculine expectations of male portraiture. Anyways, I hope you enjoy my "needy photo dumping".

Lit using natural light and a reflector.

Glad you bumped it. I missed this one.
Great set. Great placement of the reflector as well for the 3/4 shots.

Dan your lighting is always spot on well done once again.

Thank you! I sometimes fear my photos of men, especially portrayed romantically like this, aren't much appreciated especially compared to photos of women, so sometimes a little bump in a forum is necessary.

Your portraits are spot on in regards to how to take portraits and have helped me and I'm sure others in posing, location choice, and more importantly, good technique, lighting, and camera settings.

I can only hope to one day get results as good as yours.

Keep posting and don't worry about those that would make anything else out of your photos!

Thank you for the kind words. I'll do my best to keep posting from time to time.

🤣

Oh, I always love me some needy photo dumping, especially with natural light and pretty men!

The lighting in #6 is hard to beat. This sounds like an interesting project- I hope you continue to add to this thread after future sessions.

Have fun with this!

Thank you!
The lighting on 6 definitely turned out great. It was reflected light from the sunset being reflected off the white side of my reflector.
