Kids?

Two, both grown now.
Eldest is 21, studying to be a Rocket Scientist. Literally.
Youngest is 19, studying Art, and is really gifted at it. Also a very good writer.

The "short" one is about 6'5" (and is also the Oldest one). The youngest is about 6'8".

Music - I have a diverse taste. Blues, pop, rock, some classical, Celtic, oldies, c&w, bluegrass. Almost everything from AC/DC to ZZ Top.

90% of the time these days, I'm listening to my choir music practice cds; the rest of the time: I mostly listen to contemporary christian...but I do love some oldies music, mostly 60s, a little 70s...Beatles, Grateful Dead, Beach Boys, Jimmy Buffet, NGDB...

Kids - two boys. Andrew is 23 and visiting for a couple of days. Currently out of college but wants to eventually get a degree in computer science. Jeremy is 17, and a high school senior. He wants to get a degree in Fine Art/Photography. He is actually at a 15-year birthday party at the Hilton Garden across the street, as a photographer. The family apparently has a big 'coming out" type party at that age - it may be the culture - I'm not sure.

What kind of photography do you like to do the most? Mine is nature stuff, especially flowers, bugs, and the like. And macro, though I've never had the equipment to really do it "right."

eeeeeewwwwwww going to bed early tonight...

i usually go to bed between 4 and 6 am... but tonight.. before midnight... this is CRAZY!!!


the daughter has Regional Solo & Ensemble competition tomorrow. her time slot is 9am. gotta be there by 8:15 so the violin can adjust to the temp change, she needs time to warm up and calm down. an hour drive means leave home by 7:15. which means i have to get up at 6:15. i need a half hour to shave and shower. 15 minutes to eat breakfast. and 15 minutes to stare i the mirror and revol at how awesome i am. (it's required for friends of lightspeed)

uuuggghhhhh waking up when i normally go to bed.. and on a saturday to boot !?!?!?!?!

Almost anything: nature, landscapes, abstracts. I'm not much on portraits but want to learn. I don't have much of a budget at the moment so my equipment is real basic - D40, N90s for film and three primes (24mm, 50mm & 105mm micro) Jeremy's kit lens broke so he has my 18-135 zoom.
