1000d, k-x, d3000

hey guys

So im looking to get my first dslr and need some advice on what way i should go i have been thinking going towards canon because its such a well known name and i guess it makes me feel like its going to be more reliable, but have been looking at the pentax k-x and the reviews sound really good.

so its between-

canon 1000d

nikon d3000

pentax k-x

All with 18-55 kit lenses might buy i cheap bigger lens down the track as i am going to do some surf photography and may need a longer zoom
