This is why I am looking for better ways to display these cars. Too much junk in the picture, too many people. It's rare to be able to get a full profile like this,
so I'm going to work on getting this a new background.

Check out Generative Remove/Fill in PS, it really is good. Check out #3 in Illinois Route 66 Mother Road Festival the street had cars, people, etc. AI took them out and replaced the buildings. This was a year ago and it's only gotten better. Sometimes it takes multiple passes.

In my experience, the generative tools in Photoshop are hit or miss. The local remove tools often work well, and don't use credits, but don't always do a great job of filling in what's missing.
Also, there are many other things that need to be done to make a better background, like eliminating reflections that don't belong. In this work in progress, there is a guy's shirt in the back window. There is not enough interior there to copy, and generative fill just eliminates the interior and fills with the background. The tires were in the grass in the original, and don't work on the asphalt. Here again, Remove and Gen fill don't do a believable job. I'll probably have to copy some tire from another part of the wheel and blend it in, then fix shadows.
What did work pretty well was the Harmonize function, but that required some tweaking, also.

The editing road to a finished image is never a straight line, lots of turns and side roads along the way. As you mentioned it's the little details that are the hardest, but if you take the time to tweak them it takes the image from good to excellent. I've also used Firefly Text to image to generate complete backgrounds, saves time and gives me what I want.

Haven't had time to play much with Harmonize yet, in the past I've used color grading, and LUTS to bring everything together. The last updates of both LR and PS were packed with a ton of new stuff, it's taking me some time to work through them.

Also, don't know how much you travel, but every year the last part of September, they hold a huge car show in downtown Springfield, IL. Illinois Route 66 Mother Road Festival They close off several square blocks in the downtown, everything from classics, to customs.

We have two local shows a year here, one that draws people from all over the state and occasionally out of state. We once had a '40 Ford from Minnesota. We're a tourist area, and so most of the cars that are not local come from the Phoenix and Tucson areas. The bigger one looks like this: Gallery of Cars | 36th Annual Run to the Pines Car Show. (None of these pictures are mine.) Before we retired, I used to go to the show on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in Saint Paul, one of the biggest in the country. Travels today are restricted to close to home. We gave up the RV a couple of years ago, and we rarely go out of state anymore.
