1D Mark III Focusing problems?

Hey there guys,
Ive been looking into a FF body for awhile now as ive been slowly gathering up money. I never thought to look into an older 1D model until i ran across a used 1D in my pricerange. The camera looks amazing to me and i was pretty excited that i could afford a camera like that for my budget. Anywho, Ive been doing the usual research and looking at reviews and such but one BIG thing sticks out...A pretty knarly focusing issue. Now from what i gathered there is a "Firmware Update" that "Fixes" the problem. I was wondering if any Mark III users had that problem and if they could shed some light on the subject for me. Any help would be appreciated, thanks for your time.

First off the 1D MkIII is not a FF body. It is a 1.3 crop body. The only FF bodies from Canon are the 5D and 1Ds Series.

The first run of 1D MkIII's had focus issues. They were corrected and with software and hardware fixes (sub-mirror fix) In all likely hood what ever used 1D MkIII you would look at is either a fixed body or a second gen body that had the new sub-mirror and software upgrade.

Seems like i have not done enough "Reseach" cant believe i missed that :er:
And good to know that either way it shouldnt be a problem correct?
