This was my first session ever! (well getting paid) I did a mini session for a girl turning one. Here are some of my favorite shots. I tend to like pictures and edit with a vintage feel. ( I think) I did notice that on the right side of her face seems to be very light.

I do love this photo of this little girl. Her eyes are somewhat squinty though

Well I'm not one of the big C&C givers on this forum, but I would like ti point out how over exposed the balloons and sky are in the first picture... I'm not a pro, so I would prefer not to comment on the rest of either of the images because I don't want to make you do the wrong thing, and there are people on here with way better C&C.

Hi! On the close-up of the little girl's face, her eyes appear to be excessively painted blue, to the point where her eyelashes and even the whites of her eyes are painted blue is well. Am I mistaken?

1st - overexposed and over saturated

2nd - not a fan of the tilt

I understand the effect you were going for, but you waaaaay over did it in post. See how the trees in the first one are nearly neon green? The blue channel is pushed much too far as others have noted. If you want to make her eyes pop, do a (small) local adjustment, not the whole photo.

The "vintage" look is very much the in-thing that all the cool kids are currently doing. Some of it's good, some of it just looks tortured. Do you have an SOOC images you could share with us? With all the post work, it's hard to CC the in-camera work you've done.

Thanks for all the feedback. I not a professional, not do I claim to be. However, I wish to get better. And I never noticed the white inside her mouth until now. Yes, I can add those photos. Not everyone is into the tilt. I do like it. I do pictures of both, but I didn't post those.

I think, before you start beating on them with 'style', fix some of the technical issues.
The balloons are way too high and pull the viewers' eyes from the baby.
All the stuff in the background is distracting - and the baby is too small in the frame.

The second picture looks like it was underexposed and then brightened in post.
The baby's face has a grainy dark, unhealthy look hat one sees in skin in deep shadow.
I would start from scratch with that one and find better light.
