Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Now keep in mind this is my first DSLR (SLT) and I just got it monday. :D

I downloaded Luminance HDR and basically just took 3 pictures at different exposures. Is that all you're supposed to do? :blushing:

First attempt:

2nd attempt:

I liked this one much better after playing with the contrast.

I would read through a few of the older threads, especially the "shootout" threads in the HDR section of the forum. They really helped me figure out what my "style" of HDR was and how I could achieve it best with my pictures.

It can take just three exposures sure, but it always depends on the situation. If you can't capture the dynamic range of an entire scene (correctly exposing all of the shadows and highlights of a given scene) with only three shots then more are needed sometimes many more.

Afterwords during processing you should experiment with your software, I don't really know Luminance HDR, but if it's got different settings to customize then your best bet is to play around with them until you get a feel for what does what.

Hope I was helpful,

-Pat

Yea, I didn't even think about that. I just thought 3 was all that was needed. I'll play around with it more next time, thanks!

is contrast is kind of overdone is both of those photos. but HDRs get better over time and experience. read up on some online material, those help.

I'm only beginning to understand HDR as I work mainly with a more natural style. However, for future graphic design projects, I think this is going to be used more and more by me. I have no input for this thread but I will say thank you for the info you guys have given me. Playtime now methinks! :-) Cheers guys!

Messed around with the 2nd one some more...
