What's new

2 for C&C

the skin softening/luminance smoothing didn't work very well in the first one, the skin looks pasty

for some reason flikr makes my pics look different

If your pictures look different after uploading to an internet service you should check the color profile they are being saved as. Adobe rgb is usually a safe bet to use.

on the 2nd pic, i cant picture what's he's holding. i guess long exposure did that... try reducing

make sure your color space is set to sRGB

You can't tell that's a pinwheel?

its obvioulsy a pinwheel but it's too annoying that the shape of the wheel doesnt show because of the long shutter speed. and that glare of overexposed light damaged it.

I thought s-RBG was the safe bet, and that adobe RGB can be useful (bigger range of shades of red or something?) if you control everything concerning your photo and its uses, as printing et cetera? Isn't s-RGB the "standard" colour space for most things?

Yes, you should convert to sRGB for posting on the web

On the second one, I couldn't tell it was a pinwheel until someone mentioned it. Maybe shorten the exposure to try and get a bit more detail, or possibly have the pinwheel at a slightly different angle so as to get some of the colors on the front of it.
