I'm not sure I like the first image with the blacked out background. I took this shot just to see how it would look but I'm still up in the air on it.

I do like this shot because it's natural light only--no flash. I find the shadows on the baby's face a bit harsh, but overall, I don't think it's awful. I could be wrong. :mrgreen: Thoughts?

Hi,

I like the second one. Seems properly exposed, the crop is good. Nice natural smile on Mom. I find the second one underexposed (could be the background creatng that illusion) and the crop not too great (too much on top).

Thanks. I like the natural smile too. She wasn't posing and I caught her at a moment looking at my older girl and smiling. Lucky catch.

I think you meant the first one. Yeah, I was trying for a blacked out background just to see how it would look and I may need to adjust the exposure to get the mom and kiddo properly exposed.
