2 TB SSD partition query

Hi,

I recently got a 2 TB LaCie d2 SSD and since Ive never had such a vast empire before I don't know do I need to partition it. All I would have at this point is documents and the photos, raw files /edits to store. Also up till now Lightroom & PS have been storing my Mac trying to move things over seems like a mine field any tips would be welcome.

Technically, I don't think you need to partition it. But with such a large drive, I would say having a good folder structure would be important.
You could possibly partition in to two halves. One half for photos and the other for non-photos. I would think the photo partition would be the bigger of the two partitions.
I'm not 100% sure, but LR and PS should be configurable so that it doesn't store photos in some default location.
