3 Random photography for C&C

All taken with D3100 at my house.

What do you like best? B&W, or color? Any reason why?

I've seen this photo like 3 or 4 times, so I decided to give it a try.

First one has decent composition, but the idea is somewhat overused.
I think the rose would be better if the outside petal with the dead, brown specks were pulled off, it'd add a bit more elegance.

The brightest part o the two rose pictures is that outer petal.
It pulls the eye and hurts the picture.
And what's the brown stuff on the right? A doorway? why is it included?

you might consider a tighter crop to move the rose into a more powerful position.
In the original the flower and the reflection have equal prominence.
By cropping the reflection it subordinates it and it becomes a nice accent to the real flower in a strong position.
