30D shutter button !HELP!

I bought a second hand 30D and need to know if I can get it fixed before I kick up a stink and try get my money back.

The shutter button will AF fine, but a "full" press wnt release the shutter...it needs a tiny bit more pressure to release the shutter.

Anyone know if it's to do with dirt on the underside of the button contacts? or if it's something more? anyone had any experience??

I don't think it's anything to do with the actual shutter mechanism it's self.

I wouldnt think that to be a fix you can do without spending a little cash getting repaired locally. Call a local camera shop and get a guesstimate. I would hope it wouldnt be so hard getting money back from a half way decent seller. Good luck

was quoted about £150 (I know most of you are American) but surely that is for a new shutter... I don't think my cameras problem is to d wit hthe actual shutter, more the button/button contacts
