Hmmm. I think it's a bit flat and tilts left. Maybe try some straightening some contrast adjustments.

For me, it's really busy without any strong subject to grab me. The redo helped, but not enough for me.

you know what it is. The white picket fence stood out, look over it, i see this house and tree and this long line. I like the old haunting looking tree and how it appeared to attack that house. (guessing the branch hit the house) I like the houses behind lined up. i like the newer house off in the corner of the frame with the white picket fence and looking over that proverbial white picket fence and seeing that dark mess.
so i like the premise and what is in the frame, and how it balances. just looking at it i thought it would make a good bw.
what i don't like is that all the individual things in the frame which i like is too close together. Its just all all too close together. i think i like the contrast nonexistent like in the first one i had up though. i usually take the contrast out of bw anyway but in this case even more so. i wish i could bring the detail down but i have it minimum already. i should have taken this photo at a lower quality rate. Bringing up the contrast, it looks even closer together.. not so sure i want this to pop either its a bw. All i really want standing out is that white picket fence. i want that to stand out, look over it, and see something that don't quite fit.
i just not sure if i cant accept how close together everything is on the frame. or how fine it is. how close it is. just too close. i could try to play with the dof and blur it out, but even that wouldn't fix how close everything is together and would make the foreground just stand out and seem more close. Probably not worth bothering. i have another photo too, similar, i was staring at . couldn't decide on that one either. Figured i would at least post one and get some thoughts.

I don't think the fence is prominent enough in the shot to carry the message you are talking about. Get down low and make us look over and through it to really put the contrast in the shot. Looking closer, I think the fence actually gets lost somewhat at the bottom due to the snow behind it - becomes something of a white blob along the bottom of the shot.

For some reason im finding this to be a hard shot and somewhat complex. Taking a photo of a single item seems a lot easier than filling a frame and concentrating on all of them and perspective to all of them. when I took this I wasn't quite comprehending what I was biting in to. im still not sure how I could do it. This is one of those times I wish I could go over there with a pro and have them walk me through what is going on and my options.

Honestly it's not complex or complicated BUT it has nothing that holds a view's interest (well mine at least) As my wife would say, "what are you trying to say with this image?" To me it's just a backyard and not a very pretty one. No offense.

None taken. Holding a viewers interest is usually a afterthought for me. All i can say is. well. there are a lot of different reasons to take a photo...............
