3rd party VR/IS

Do any 3rd party companies make lenses with IS/VR for Nikon or Canon mounts? Do they have plans too?

Yes. At least one of the main 3 do. I think it is Sigma.

Sigma make a 80-400mm OS (optical Stabilizer) and they have a 18-200mm DC lens on the way (due very soon if not now)

The down side to the 80-400mm is that they haven't put a HSM motor in it so the focusing isn't all that fast
