3rd party (Yongnuo) Speedlite compatibility w/ 7D ??

Hi folks, so I am a guy that is on a tighter budget and I recently acquired a 7D. I then realized that I would like to have some OCF's set up, and I was pointed (by many people) in the direction of the fine manufactuers of Hong Kong for a budget friendly alternative to the 430EX II's etc.

I am looking at getting 2X Yongnuo YN-468's ETTL models, and then a RF602 trigger/receiver set, plus ONE extra RF602x recevier (this is umbrella,s softboxes, tripods and extras aside. I am talking bare meat and potatoes here).

My question:

IS IT NECESSARY to buy the triggers??

Or can the 7D's internal wireles system trigger the Yongnuo speedlites?

I have read that they MUST have the triggers and receivers to work, since they aren't compatible with the 7D's wireless flash system, BUT that the ETTL system WILL work.

Before I spend an extra $50 on triggers and receivers, can anyone PLEASE confirm this?

Should I be getting even cheaper Yongnuo speedlites, like the YN467 II's?

I am NOT intending on buying 430EX II's just yet, as money is tight and I am not a pro (yet ... haha).

I would just like someone who maybe has a 7D and these speedlites/triggers to confirm please!

Would help a lot before I go ahead and buy!
