this last ones not from the walk tho its from our house

thanks for viewing

i myself like them except for the third one just does not speak to me.i love candid and black and white

1. Looks like it could have made a good abstract if you didn't have the trees in the background. What is that stuff?? I wish it had more DOF.

2. I really like the composition in this one, but I feel like I'd like it better if she were not looking out of the frame, but as it stands it adds a little mystery to it. Unfortunately it looks like focus fell on the fence/wall in upper right of photograph.

3. I'm just not feeling it.

4. I really like this. A lot. I feel like your DOF is perfect. It has a few blown areas, but I think it still works. I'd love to see the color.

@jkevin: thank you :)
@misstwinklytoes: thanks a lot
#1: i am not exactly sure what they are....i know it had something to do with construction :)
#2: Abt the focus i was really nervous trying to get a shot it looked pic perfect itz almost like a drive by lol and also wat she?? its a he haha

#3: i liked the colors and weird shapes thought it would make an awesome abstract

#4:thank you it took me forever to get that XD i'll post the color one :)

#3 is undexposed. Some PP to bring out the richness in the colors could really help that one.

Lol. Oops. Sorry I had half asleep eyes. Sorry Dude, you don't look feminine(ish). :P

1) Sorry, this does nothing for me. With a tight enough crop (to remove the trees) and increased tonal range it might make a decent abstract as misstwinklytoes mentioned (you could even play with false color rather than sticking with B&W), but there's nothing really appealing to me about a jumble of concrete and rebar.

2) I really like this shot. The composition is great - I like how the perspective of the wall and the shadows create leading lines drawing the viewer right to the subject. It's a great tone of light, too. I don't even mind that the focus does seem to be on the foreground rather than the subject - having him slightly out of focus in this case adds to the mystery.

3) I agree that this is underexposed and would greatly benefit from some post processing. I think it would make a very cool abstract if you get rid of the dirt in the upper left, through some combination of cropping, cloning, distorting, etc.

4) Very nice! I like the composition. It's unusual to place the center of the flower so close to the corner but this is a great example of when violating the rule of thirds works. The only (minor) quibble I have with it is that the most-lit area seems to me to be in the upper right corner rather than the center of the flower, so there is some slight competition for where the eye is drawn.

Edit: Just saw the color version of #4. It looks like you nailed your lighting, the B&W version only seems dimmer in the center due to the natural coloring of the flower. I withdraw the quibble, Your Honor.
