4k vs 2560 x 1440 vs 1080p, which is best?

I'm still in the hunt for the best monitor type for me. I'm looking for that perfect balance of gaming and photo editing and can't decide if there is a resolution that trumps the others in terms of photo editing. I bought a 4k monitor, and it brings out lots of flaws (maybe too much) and I was going to stick with it, but am going to return it due to issues I'm having with it. Before I swap it, is there a resolution monitor that outshines the others when it cones to editing?

i went UHD (2150p) and will never go back.

I dislike wide monitors like the 2560x1440 resolution

The more resolution the better.

The small p stands for progressive can a method of displaying moving images (video). The lines of each frame are drawn in sequence.
Progressive scan requires a higher bandwidth a disadvantage compared to interlaced (i) video at the same frame size and vertical refresh rate. Which is why progressive scan is not used for broadcast moving images. However, the main advantage of progressive scan is that motion appears smoother and more realistic. If it wasn't for the bandwidth issue ...............
