Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Managed to work in a set with Lil'Bit for the 4th. Several good ones, a few of my pics with just light editing in LR. Will let them set for a couple days before final editing. Tried something new on lighting, the flag was backlit with a strobe high. Not sure that I achieved the exact look I wanted, probably need to experiment with the technique more. She always likes the wind shots, my remote VAA was directing a large window fan from camera left.

I like #3 and #5.

I like 2 and 3. Sort of. I don't have children. 5 is kinda weird, posture, head back, eyes.

Is she holding an actual flag pole or did you edit that in?

The flag and pole, were real. The poses were all her, edited in LR.
So uhm. How did you keep the flag straight like that? It's a big flag. She that strong?

It looks like it's tacked to the black background in the upper fly (upper right).

IT'S MAGIC!

Nope she's a good 6ft in front of background, but you're on the right track. The top right corner is suspended from a boom using monofilament. The left side with pole, she's holding. As I said earlier. There's a large fan camera left, that gives the flag, hair, etc movement. The back lighting (7" reflector with 40 degree grid) is off center left, between the flag & background, high, aimed down at the back of the flag. You can see the slightly luminous effect created in the stars and stripes in 1, 3 & 4. Not sure what happened in the other two, if she moved the flag or strobe didn't fire?
