55-200MM vs 55-300MM

Hello,

So I have decided to buy a zoom lens. I have these 2 in mind. Nikon 55-200MM (165$) or Nikon 55-300MM (315$). I am willing to go upto price of 350$ (MAX), but cheaper the better . I have Nikon D7000.

Could you please suggest either of these two or if any other lens in similar range (for same purpose).

I think you mean Nikon/Nikkor lens .. not Nokia.

I've been doing a lot of reading between the 55-200mm and the 55-300mm myself, and I've decided to get the 55-200mm, which will suite my uses well. There may be times I wish I had the 300mm, but overall, I think I'll be happy with the 55-200mm and save the extra money. It all depends what you'll be shooting as well, and if you're going to need that extra 100mm of zoom.

Thanks itBurns. I haven't seen many reviews on 55-300mm, though I am seeing many people recommending either 70-300mm (around 500$) or 55-200mm. I think I am inclining towards 55-200mm considering the price difference.

i have the 55-200mm because I didn't want to spend the money on the 300mm. I am very pleased with the results I've gotten
