Keith, I'm trying to decide if I will keep the 24-105 now,... I was not liking the soft results I got in low light hand held today, but when I compared it with the nifty fifty in 'studio' light tonight it looked real good... Do you have any more studio shots with the 24-105? Maybe I should keep it and just add the 100mm 2.8 macro for that ultra sharp look.

Yeah it's up to you, of course. I don't have strong feelings either way about the 24-105 - most end up going for the 24-70. For me, the 24-105 worked better since I've been using it for a lot of family videos & in the studio. Also, primes have spoiled me in low light. After seeing sharpness come from primes, neither the 24-70 or the 24-105 have impressed me. But, it took buying the 24-70 for me to realize that it wasn't right for my uses.

The 100 macro is really an unbelievable lens.
